Thoughts on Leadership

Often in life it’s a really good idea to “Go the Extra Mile” and sometimes a little more is required of us -- to be bolder and maybe even a bit louder. Being a leader is what most people dream of becoming. But it is more than being the center of the group, the loudest mouth or even the boss....

Hill’s Secret

Dr. Hill's famous quote, "Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve" is often misunderstood. On the surface, what he wrote is nothing extraordinary and is simple common sense. If you can conceive of an idea, and believe that you can make it happen, then you will be able to take the steps necessary to carry out your plan to actualize the goal/idea you have.

Adversity and Defeat

What if every time adversity and defeat showed up in our life ... we could change it? You can.... Napoleon Hill has such a great way of helping us embrace and change our view of whatever is happening in our life at any given moment.

Accurate Thinking

Recently, I have really been thinking and reflecting on why there is so much confusion in the world and why creations find it more challenging now to live right and imbibe virtues that make for better life and worthy of emulation. There is so much uncertainty and distrust in the world.

Personal Initiative

You may or may not know that “Personal Initiative” is Napoleon Hill’s 6th Principle in the Keys for Success. Being the Sixth Principle out of seventeen success Principles should give you a better sense as to the importance of Personal Initiative in relationship to the overall 17 Keys of Success. The sixth Key is what I call the DO IT NOW principle. I equate initiative with action, personal action. Things will only begin to happen when you start to make things happen. You can have the best plans, ideas and thoughts in your mind and nothing will happen until you take action. Like the old Chinese proverb elegantly says “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step”.

What Having A Positive Mental Attitude Does for Success

Success does not happen by accident. There is a science to achieving success. The good news is that the “science” itself is simple, doesn’t require a formal college education and has zero costs, making the attainment of success possible for virtually everyone. And, the only tool you need to begin to successfully use the science of success in attaining the life you desire, is one you already possess -- your mind.

The Golden Rule

Everyone has heard of The Golden Rule - Do unto others as you would have done unto you. The challenge is applying it in our lives, on a daily basis, in everything we do. An adaptation of The Golden Rule is to do unto others as they would have done unto them. We are all unique and what you would like people to do to you is often different than what other people want done unto them.

Going the Extra Mile

Going the Extra Mile is PMA in action. Every successful person has a willingness to put their faith into action and help others without expecting a reward, payment, or acknowledgment. They do the right thing because it is the right thing to do. What person in your life would epitomize this?

Create Personal Initiative

When I think of personal initiative immediately I have a link in my mind thinking about going the extra mile. No going the extra mile without personal initiative. Also thoughts about how this principle from Napoleon Hills 17 principles of Personal Achievement has influenced my life in such a positive and outstanding way.
