MORE DYNAMITE!!

The Foundation is proud to announce that the second book in the series based on the long lost Mental Dynamite booklets written by Napoleon Hill will be published by Random House/Penguin on September 19. Titled “How to Own Your Own Mind,” the book focuses on three of the seventeen principles: Creative Vision, Organized Thought and Controlled Attention. These principles show how you can focus and use your mind to carry out your definite major purpose. The book is available for pre-order on Amazon now.

Creative Vision includes the power of imagination and is the means by which one recognizes opportunities. Organized Thought, when combined with will power and self- discipline, is the means by which Creative Vision is fully developed. And Controlled Attention, coupled with intense concentration, is how thought is turned into action.

Napoleon Hill often said that action is critical to success, but one must think before one can grow rich, and this book, with many examples and success stories, will show you how to think and gain control of your own mind. We are sure you will enjoy and benefit from these chapters, timeless and still valid after many decades in the Foundation’s archives.

Now available on Amazon!

“Any business whose management has the foresight to adopt a policy which consolidates management, employees and the public it serves in a spirit of team work, provides itself with an insurance policy against failure.” ~Napoleon Hill

How to Own Your Own Mind

On September 19, 2017 Penguin will release a fantastic book by Napoleon Hill called How to Own Your Own Mind. This new book is available as a pre-order on Amazon.

Napoleon Hill followers realize that he placed a large emphasis on Definiteness of Purpose and declared it to be the starting point of all achievement. However, if simply having a definite purpose was the only requirement to be successful, we could desire anything in life and it would appear. But it takes many more success principles to accomplish our burning desire.

In 1941, Napoleon Hill worked for the LeTourneau company in Georgia as part of a team to prevent the threat of an employee union. During this period of time, Napoleon wrote seventeen booklets, each averaging about one hundred pages, on his success principles.

How to Own Your Own Mind is composed of part of these booklets, which Napoleon called the Mental Dynamite series, and will allow the reader to learn more about Organized Thought, Creative Vision, and Controlled Attention. By using these three principles, readers will be well on their way to reaching their Definite Major Purpose.

Thank you for your continued support through the purchase of the Napoleon Hill Foundation’s books, audios, and courses. With your help we are continuing our mission of making this world a better place in which to live.

I wish you the best in all that you do.

The Law of Success

Peace of Mind and Power of Mind
by Napoleon Hill

Since what you achieve in life depends on what you first conceive, and this depends first of all upon your deep, inner, subconsciously founded belief — you see that your life depends upon your power to believe.

No, your mere life-processes do not depend upon this power. The Eternal has made it possible for the supreme achievement of evolution, man, to stay alive even without knowing he is alive. The beating of the heart, the pumping of the lungs, the processes of digestion and other vital functions are taken care of by a part of the brain which takes care of itself.

Beyond this, man creates an ever better species. He aspires — and climbs to the heights of his aspiration. Seeing heights yet beyond, again he aspires–and achieves that peak, beyond which lies another and another.

Significantly, philosophers always have recognized the power of the quiet mind, the peaceful mind. This is far from being a mind empty of aspiration. It is, rather, a mind which can hold, judge and evaluate the highest forms of aspiration. Nor is a peaceful mind the exclusive property of a person who does not move about in the world and busy himself with the world’s manifold affairs, for some of the most peaceful minds are the busiest. Remember, we speak of inner peace, like a quiet center about which all else revolves, like a great rotating dynamo doing useful work and filled with energy, yet referring its rotation always to the unmoved pivot at its middle.

A mind at peace is a mind that is free to conceive greatly. It bears no great conflict within its subconscious which may hamper the conscious mind and therefore conscious action. A mind at peace is a free mind. Its power is limitless.

Maximizing Your Mind
by Jim Stovall

We use our minds to try to understand how everything in the world works, but the subject we may know least about is our mind itself. Scientists have determined that the thing our minds may be most effective at doing is misleading, fooling, or deluding us. Whether it’s the airline pilot on approach who doesn’t see a jumbo jet sitting right in front of him on the runway because he doesn’t expect to, or the multitude of eyewitnesses who each emphatically report they all saw something different from one another, it’s clear that our minds are complicated entities that are part of us and somewhat independent agents at the same time.

The more we learn about how our minds work, the more it is clear that we are just beginning to scratch the surface of how we think, how we process, how we remember, and how we learn.

Much of the study about the human mind centers on academic pursuits, but there are a few recent breakthroughs that can be very practical to you and me in our personal and professional lives.

Recently it has been determined that making a decision is one of the most difficult tasks our minds perform. The decision-making process takes a tremendous amount of energy whether the decision we are making is a significant one or not. Science has revealed that the fewer decisions people make, the more rational they are in the decision-making process. It seems that high-functioning minds are engaged primarily in high-functioning problems.

Many great leaders and thinkers historically ate the same thing for breakfast, traveled the same way to work or school, and wore the same clothes on a regular basis. Routine decisions for many high-functioning thinkers are more a matter of habit than thought.

While great thinkers use their minds in conjunction with the latest technology in processing problems and solutions, they are likely to utilize notecards or a tablet of paper to keep their daily “to do” list.

While multitasking has become popular, it is not as efficient as we may think. Our minds seem to measure our progress based on how busy we feel or how stressed we are mentally; therefore, doing several things at once may give us a feeling of great achievement. In reality, when progress is measured, we could be better off by focusing on one thing at a time.

While our minds might tell us the longer and harder we focus the better we will perform, in reality research has shown that working in two-hour blocks of time, punctuated by a break or even a nap, may provide better results.

Data has shown that the highest-functioning, most-efficient minds may well be the least-distracted minds. Controlling email, phone calls, and other interruptions gives our minds the best chance to do their greatest work.

We are all different and function best in a variety of ways, but before you determine how you function most efficiently, it would be wise to measure your results instead of trusting how you feel.

As you go through your day today, remember that your mind is a powerful tool. Use it well.

Today’s the day!

The Little Book of Leadership

The Path to Personal Power

by Napoleon Hill

This true lost manuscript from the “grandfather of self-help,” Napoleon Hill provides timeless wisdom on how to attain a more successful and wealthy life using simple principles.

Napoleon Hill first wrote The Path to Personal Power in 1941, intending it as a handbook for people lifting themselves out of the Great Depression. But upon the bombing of Pearl Harbor and America’s entrance into World War II, these lessons were put aside and largely forgotten–until today.

Discovered in the archives of the Napoleon Hill Foundation, this never-before-published work is made up of three easily digested lessons, each its own chapter: Definiteness of Purpose; the Master Mind; and Going the Extra Mile.

This concise book is a powerful road map that leads to a single discovery–you already have the power to attain whatever wealth, success, and prosperity you desire in life. All you need to do is walk the path without straying, and the rest will follow.

Using these lessons, you have principles to live by that will help you stay on your own personal path to power, and achieve success that you never thought possible.

Will be released on July 18, 2017 on Amazon.com

Think and Grow Rich

by Napoleon Hill

As Executive Director of the Napoleon Hill Foundation, I receive many requests from people wanting the original 1937 copy of Think and Grow Rich. To satisfy those of you who desire to have a 1937 unedited copy, we have reproduced Napoleon Hill’s personal copy of the first edition, printed in March of 1937. The book has the notation, “not to be loaned,” and signed: Annie Lou Hill (the wife of Dr. Hill). This personal copy of Dr. Hill’s was given to me by Dr. Charles W. Johnson, Chairman of the Napoleon Hill Foundation and a nephew of Napoleon Hill. It was Napoleon Hill who sent Dr. Johnson to medical school, and today he is a practicing cardiologist. Charlie refers to Napoleon Hill as “Uncle Nap” and will often makes the statement, “Uncle Nap would be proud of the Foundation today.” The original 1937 manuscript was written and edited with the assistance of Napoleon’s wife. In later years, the existing document was again edited by Dr. Hill. For example, the Foundation owns a 1958 edition that Hill edited personally. This did not lessen the book’s value in Hill’s judgment. Hill made the editing remarks in his own handwriting and the resulting 1960 edited edition has sold over 100 million copies making it the most read self-help book of all time
