NAPOLEON HILL HAS CREATED A POST GRADUATE COURSE
FOR YOU!

It is because we sincerely feel that every reader of Think and Grow Rich should go on into this post graduate course, that we take the liberty here of giving a few brief side lights upon this brilliant work. Napoleon Hill’s Course presents the true Philosophy upon which all lasting success is built. Ideas, when translated into intelligent plans of action, are the beginning of all successful achievement. So this course proceeds to show you how to create practical ideas for every human need. It does it in easy-to-understand lessons. Napoleon Hill spent the better part of twenty-five years in perfecting this Philosophy of Success. During the long years he has worked on it, some parts or the whole of it, have been reviewed and praised by many of the greatest Americans of our times. Among them are included four Presidents of the United States, Theodore Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, Warren G. Harding, Wm. H. Taft; Thomas Edison, Luther Burbank, Wm. J. Wrigley, Alexander Graham Bell, Judge E. H. Gary, Cyrus H. K. Curtis, Edward Bok, E.M. Statler—dozens of glowing names in Politics, Finance, Education, and Invention.

Don’t waste your own precious years blindly searching for the hidden road to the heights. Profit by the dearly brought experience of America’s leaders. Over 500 great and prominent men of America were minutely analyzed—their methods, motives, strategy—to find out the secrets that put them on top. No matter whether you are rich or poor—you have one asset as great as the richest man living—and that is TIME. But with each setting sun you become one day older, and have one day less in which to attain the success and wealth you desire. Thousands of progressive people throughout the North American continent have realized this mighty truth, and have sought the help so clearly and inspiringly taught in Napoleon Hill. You cannot afford to let day after day slip into eternity, without getting possession of this course. You will profit greatly from the lessons in THINK AND GROW RICH. You will take even more brilliant and gratifying rewards from this course. The cost is trifling; the benefits are tremendous.

Vintage Essays By Judy Williamson, Director of the Napoleon Hill World Learning Center at Purdue University Calumnet

Dear Readers,

The Napoleon Hill Foundation is located on the campus of the University of Virginia’s College at Wise. It is the only branch of the main campus which is in Charlottesville, Virginia. As you know, it was Thomas Jefferson, the third President of the United States, who founded the University of Virginia.

Before Thomas Jefferson died, he left specific instructions about what he wanted to be written on his tombstone. He even sketched a design of the tombstone to leave nothing to chance. If you ever have the opportunity to visit Jefferson’s gravesite in Charlottesville, you would read the following epitaph, just as Jefferson wanted it:

Here was buried
Thomas Jefferson
Author of the Declaration of American Independence
of the Statute of Virginia for religious freedom
& Father of the University of Virginia

Statue of Jefferson at the University of Virginia’s College at Wise.

Please note that Jefferson did not mention the fact that he was the third President of the United States, Vice President, Secretary of State, or United States Ambassador to France. He was most proud of his accomplishments in writing the Declaration of Independence, the Statute of Virginia for Religious Freedom, and his establishment of the University of Virginia.

Since Thomas Jefferson felt that education was so important, I think it is fitting that the Napoleon Hill Foundation uses education to make the world a better place in which to live. Through books, courses, and seminars, we are teaching the success principles that Napoleon Hill spent his life researching. I truly believe that Thomas Jefferson was correct when he said, “an educated citizenry is a vital requisite for our survival as a free people.”

If you are enrolled in our Distance Learning Course that begins January 8th, 2018, and you are interested in our Leader Certification, you will be invited to accompany our instructor Uriel Martinez to the Napoleon Hill Foundation offices, located in Wise, Virginia. We invite you to educate yourself and take decisive action to further your success. While in Wise, you will be able to view many artifacts and historical sites from Napoleon Hill’s life in Wise. We have personal items of Napoleon’s such as eyeglasses, pens, books, and honorary doctorate degrees on display in our office

In addition, there is the historical marker and Rufus Ayers mansion that you will get to visit. The historical marker was erected by the State of Virginia in honor of Napoleon Hill, and Hill is the only author in Virginia to receive this prestigious award. The Rufus Ayers mansion is now a museum that is located only minutes away from Wise. Mr. Rufus Ayers was Napoleon Hill’s employer after he graduated from business school.

This will be a great opportunity to visit the archives of the Napoleon Hill Foundation, which are not open to the public.

I wish you the best in all that you do,
Don Green

The Law of Success

IT PAYS TO KNOW HOW TO
PURCHASE KNOWLEDGE

by Napoleon Hill

First of all, decide the sort of specialized knowledge you require, and the purpose for which it is needed. To a large extent your major purpose in life, the goal toward which you are working, will help determine what knowledge you need. With this question settled, your next move requires that you have accurate information concerning dependable sources of knowledge. The more important of these are:

(a) One’s own experience and education
(b) Experience and education available through cooperation of others (Master Mind Alliance)
(c) Colleges and Universities
(d) Public Libraries (Through books and periodicals in which may be found all the knowledge organized by civilization)
(e) Special Training Courses (Through night schools and home study schools in particular.)

As knowledge is acquired, it must be organized and put into use, for a definite purpose, through practical plans. Knowledge has no value except that which can be gained from its application toward some worthy end. This is one reason why college degrees are not valued more highly. They represent nothing but miscellaneous knowledge.

If you contemplate taking additional schooling, first determine the purpose for which you want the knowledge you are seeking, then learn where this particular sort of knowledge can be obtained, from reliable sources.

Successful men, in all callings, never stop acquiring specialized knowledge related to their major purpose, business, or profession. Those who are not successful usually make the mistake of believing that the knowledge acquiring period ends when one finishes school. The truth is that schooling does but little more than to put one in the way of learning how to acquire practical knowledge.

With this Changed World which began at the end of the economic collapse, came also astounding changes in educational requirements. The order of the day is SPECIALIZATION! This truth was emphasized by Robert P. Moore, secretary of appointments of Columbia University.

Cost and Value
by Jim Stovall

People in our society today know the cost of everything and the value of virtually nothing. We treasure things that bring us very little if any, pleasure, and we ignore the truly priceless.

When you establish your financial goals, it is important that they really be “your goals,” not someone else’s. We are constantly bombarded with messages that tell us to feel good or be important we must drive a certain car, drink a certain beverage, or wear a certain brand of clothes. These messages have an impact.

I am in the television business, and I am constantly amazed how our industry underestimates the intelligence of the viewing audience. The average young person, upon their graduation from high school, has witnessed thousands of murders and violent crimes via the television. The television industry would have you believe that this has no impact on them as “they understand the difference between fiction and reality.” On the other hand, these same television executives will justify charging you well in excess of $1 million for one minute of airtime during the Super Bowl to sell your latest breakfast cereal.

The single characteristic shared by more top executives is the fact that they read or listen to positive, motivational, affirming material on a regular basis.

We must understand that we are in a battle of cost and value, and it is a battle for the mind. If we truly are a product of what we think about all day, the most valuable property we can ever own would be a positive, self-affirming thought.

In a recent survey of the top executives of the Fortune 500 companies, it was determined that the characteristic that these business leaders have most in common is not their education, skill level, or work ethic. It was discovered that the single characteristic shared by more top executives is the fact that they read or listen to positive, motivational, affirming material on a regular basis.

The next time you have the choice between feeding your ego, feeding your body, or feeding your mind, try feeding your mind and you will find that it will result in a permanent change that will be manifested in every area of your life.

Today’s the day!
Jim Stovall

The Path to Personal Power

by Napoleon Hill

This true lost manuscript from the “grandfather of self-help,” Napoleon Hill provides timeless wisdom on how to attain a more successful and wealthy life using simple principles.

Napoleon Hill first wrote The Path to Personal Power in 1941, intending it as a handbook for people lifting themselves out of the Great Depression. But upon the bombing of Pearl Harbor and America’s entrance into World War II, these lessons were put aside and largely forgotten–until today.

Discovered in the archives of the Napoleon Hill Foundation, this never-before-published work is made up of three easily digested lessons, each its own chapter: Definiteness of Purpose; the Master Mind; and Going the Extra Mile.

This concise book is a powerful road map that leads to a single discovery–you already have the power to attain whatever wealth, success, and prosperity you desire in life. All you need to do is walk the path without straying, and the rest will follow.

Using these lessons, you have principles to live by that will help you stay on your own personal path to power, and achieve success that you never thought possible.
