Napoleon Hill said, “No mind is complete by itself. It needs contact and association with other minds to grow and expand.” The proper use of a mastermind group is the cornerstone to all great achievement, and it is one of the steps that people most often overlook. On our own, we can only ever have a limited amount of experience, a mastermind group allows us to draw freely from the experience, training, skills, and knowledge of others who align with our definite major purpose. The resulting benefits include a magnification of the combined qualities of each member, as well as increased courage, faith, and a host of other positive advantages. In other words, on your own, you’re a single brushstroke, but in a mastermind group you could become a Monet….

The topic of gratitude is seen in many articles everywhere today as we are all looking for a healthier and more peaceful way of life. It is true that when we encounter a person who exhibits a high sense of gratitude they possess a joyful and a positive attitude filled with enthusiasm, which is contagious. We prefer to be around a person who has these traits because they add value and enjoyment to our day. The heart of gratitude is more precious than gold, consider it priceless.

This is something that thanks to our economy we have rightfully come to expect. But what can you expect to get from something that costs only fifty cents? Here is one instance where that saying is not true, but in a very good way. It’s not hard to find a bargain as long as you are looking for it. I found a great one at a local thrift store when I purchased a CD called The Best of Classics for Meditation. Total running time fifty four minutes and ten seconds. To me it’s not worth fifty cents….

Ka-POW! That’s what enthusiasm feels like to me. Enthusiasm is an internal … intangible … vibrating energy felt within my mind and within my heart. Napoleon Hill’s masterful essay on the principle of enthusiasm defined enthusiasm as a state of mind that inspires one to put action into the task at hand. Enthusiasm is contagious and it vitally affects not only the enthusiast, but all with whom he or she comes into contact. Enthusiasm is a vital and moving force that impels action…..

When I think of personal initiative immediately I have a link in my mind thinking about going the extra mile. No going the extra mile without personal initiative. Also thoughts about how this principle from Napoleon Hills 17 principles of Personal Achievement has influenced my life in such a positive and outstanding way. According to Andrew Carnegie there are two types of people who never amount to anything. “There are those who never do anything except what they are told to do. And there are those who cannot even do what they are told to do. The people who get ahead do the things that should be done without being told. And they don’t stop there. They go the extra mile and do much more than is expected of them.” Personal initiative is absolutely necessary if you are going to realize your goal. It will bring you advancement, attention and opportunity….
