Biographical Info

I am currently employed full time as a Program Chair for the Department of English and Communication at a Community College in Indiana. I am credentialed to teach courses online and in the classroom in communication and management.

I also attend Grand Canyon University as a doctoral scholar obtaining a Doctorate degree in Organizational Leadership. I am great at encouraging and motivating students both in and out of the classroom, and mentoring students to improve their academic and leadership abilities. After graduating from Purdue University with a Master of Arts in Communication in 2003, I sat on the Board of Directors for Purdue Alumni Association-Calumet (PAAC) for several years. We coordinated scholastic activities for students, faculty, staff and community members, built community partnerships at local and regional levels, met with local and state officials impacting the university, and encouraged alumni and students to participate in university functions. I also am the founder and owner of a small business that conducts security and firearm training in Illinois and Indiana.
